Sri Lanka Fuel Price November 2026: Petrol and Diesel Prices Rise Again

Sri Lanka fuel price November 2026 has been revised upwards, with the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) announcing another increase in petrol and diesel prices, effective from midnight on 1 November 2026. The latest adjustment comes just one month after the previous revision increased prices for three major fuel categories. This time, all four petrol and diesel grades have recorded increases, while kerosene remains unchanged.

The new prices, effective from 2 November, will see Petrol 92 Octane reaching Rs.424 per litre, while Petrol 95 Octane has increased to Rs.490 per litre. Auto Diesel has risen to Rs.397, and Super Diesel now costs Rs.543 per litre. The revised rates were also confirmed in reporting on Ceypetco’s latest announcement.

According to the latest revision, Petrol 92 Octane has increased by Rs.10 from Rs.414 to Rs.424, while Petrol 95 Octane has risen by Rs.15 from Rs.475 to Rs.490. Auto Diesel has increased by Rs.5 from Rs.392 to Rs.397, and Super Diesel has risen by Rs.15 from Rs.528 to Rs.543. Kerosene remains unchanged at Rs.285 per litre.

Fuel Prices Have Increased for Two Consecutive Months

The November revision follows the fuel-price increases introduced at the beginning of October, when Petrol 92, Auto Diesel and Super Diesel became more expensive. Comparing prices before the October adjustment with the latest November rates shows that Petrol 92 has increased by Rs.25 per litre across the two revisions, while Auto Diesel has increased by Rs.15.

Super Diesel has experienced the largest combined increase, rising by Rs.65 per litre, from Rs.478 before October to Rs.543 in November. Petrol 95, which remained unchanged during the October revision, has now increased by Rs.15. Kerosene has remained at Rs.285 through both adjustments.

What Does This Mean for Motorists and Businesses?

The latest increases will add to fuel expenses for motorists, three-wheeler operators and businesses that depend on daily transportation. A motorist purchasing 40 litres of Petrol 92 will now pay Rs.400 more than in October for the same quantity. Similarly, a commercial vehicle purchasing 100 litres of Auto Diesel will pay an additional Rs.500.

Higher diesel costs can also increase operating expenses for transport services, goods distribution and other businesses that depend on fuel. However, the latest revision does not automatically mean that bus fares, transport charges or retail prices will increase immediately. Those changes depend on separate pricing decisions and operating costs.

With petrol and diesel prices moving upwards for the second consecutive month, fuel expenses remain an important concern for Sri Lankan households and businesses. The revised Ceypetco rates are effective from 2 November 2026.

Editor’s Note: This public-information update is based on Ceypetco’s fuel-price revision announced on 1 November 2026, checked against the previous official pricing and contemporary reporting. All prices refer to Ceypetco fuel grades and are expressed in Sri Lankan rupees per litre.
